Are you ready for the ride of your life?
This web site features my Firehawk (which I am selling) and production information that I've gathered from research on the web and from SLP Engineering. To see all the details about my Firehawk please view all the pages of this site. The PHOTO PAGE may take a minute to load due to the quality and number of pictures, please be patient.
The Car
I have two awsome cars. A 2000 Trans Am Firehawk (330HP LS1) and a 1979 Z28 Camaro (410HP 383 with 700R4). I was almost finished restoring the Z28 when I purchased the Firehawk. The Firehawk was love at first sight and purchase after first test drive! I purchased it with the intent to sell the Z28. When it came time to put the for sale sign in the window I just couldn't do it. I have spent too much time and money on the Z to let it go. Driving it still brings back memories of cruising at 130+ MPH on the back roads of New Mexico. It has also outlasted two wives! If I could afford to keep both I would. The Z28 still needs paint and body work and the interior still needs upgraded. I can't afford to do any of that with the Firehawk payment, so I have decided to sell the Firehawk. Please pass this web site along to anyone you think would be interested.
Limited Production
Firehawks are a limited production vehicle. In 2000 only 741 were made. Only 24 White T-Top Trans Ams with automatics were produced that year. Of those, only 9 have the Bilstein Suspension and only 8 have the Auburn Differential. As you can see, there can not be any more than 7 other 2000 Firehawks like mine. Possibly even less with the exact combination of options that mine has. If you look up a "used car price" be certain to select the FIREHAWK (not the WS6 Ram Air). Edmunds.com has this option. Many others, such as Kelly Blue Book, do not. When you compare the price to other Firehawks make sure you know exactly what options they have. A lot of them are base model Firehawks with little or no SLP options. The SLP options are what makes it a true performance care. This car has all the performance options! Please do not confuse the Firehawk with a Ram Air, also known as the WS6 package. Ram Airs are abundant. You see them all over the place. How often do you see a Firehawk cruising down the highway? I have placed the 2000 production numbers from SLP on the PHOTO PAGE of this web site. Go to the PHOTO PAGE to see several pictures of the car. The original window stickers are also there.
I have researched the prices of Firehawks, used and new, to come up with an asking price of 27,000. I don't think you could find a used one in better condition. The condition of this car is comparable to a new one. It is still covered by the factory warranty too! I have all the original documentation for the car. The window stickers have been professionally framed. I still have the build sheet and both owners manuals (Pontiac and SLP) and 2 laminated sales brochures. Dont forget, GM is ending production of the F bodies (Firebird and Camaro) this year. I have also read (on bullitin boards on the net) that it is difficult to find a dealer who will place an order for a Firehawk. This is your chance to own a Firehawk for much less than the cost of a new one.
Details...
My Firehawk currently has 5,250 miles on it. It is stored in my garage. It only gets driven on sunny days. It is always cleaned before it goes back into the garage. It still looks like new, no stone chips, scratchs, or door dings. The interior also still looks and smells like new. This car looks as good as any on the show room floor of a dealership! This is a very fast car. I have read that it tops out at about 160 MPH but I'm too afraid of going to jail to find out. The throttle response is instant. If the traction control is turned off it will light up the tires! I had to try that just once. With traction control on, just hold on - it will flat out go... no hesitations. I have read that several stock Firehawks made 330 HP at the rear wheels on a chassis dyno. After accounting for drivetrain loss, HP at the flywheel was calculated to be 390. Just think of passing someone and you are already there. This car begs you to push the gas pedal. If you do not have good self control you better go buy a rice burner, this car could get you in serious trouble!!!
